Tuesday

This day on site was much calmer.  After a run to Billings, I spent the afternoon fielding questions, resolving issues (just a couple), taking pictures, and...knitting.  It was lovely to just sit in the back yard to eat my lunch, watch the storms roll by, and get a few more rows done on my latest knitting project.

Oh, speaking of knitting project!  For those who know that I was knitting a sweater, here are a few pictures of the finished work of art.

Here are some pictures from today's construction site.

With the siding (almost) done, the builder and crew turned their attention to a couple other projects...one is the gable beams.
The tile is grouted now.

The cabinets have oozed out of the kitchen into the hallway.

And there's more in the dining room.

The kitchen and pantry base cabinets are (almost) set.  The countertop folks have been notified that we're ready for "templateing".

A bit of the pantry...

The first post base was framed when I went out to say goodbye.

I am going to live where horses roam!  Today, as I was preparing to leave, the sight of a horse, closer than usual, caught my attention.  I went to investigate and discovered that one of the neighbor horses got out (probably through an open gate) and was wondering around on our property.  I'm happy to share, but our property isn't completely fenced so...

When I got close, he ran toward his own paddock then turned and came toward me.  Once he figured out I was planning to send him home, he trotted off in the other direction.  Our builder joined me (it turns out I can't run as fast as a horse) and we cornered the wanderer until he ran through the gate and rejoined his buddy.

Here's a view of the house we don't see very often.
