Quiet Day

I drove out to the construction site in hopes of meeting up with the electrician but no one was working today. The place was neat and tidy from the holiday and the construction trailer was locked up.

I still walked around and took some pictures of the work that was done during Thanksgiving week and then I enjoyed imagining what it will be like to actually live there. When there is no construction work happening, it is INCREDIBLY peaceful here; no traffic noise, no trains, no F-35s!, no barking dogs, no noisy neighbors. It was so quiet when I got out of my car that my ears were almost ringing. I can't wait to live here.

In the meantime, the indoor fireplace has been installed, the builder has reworked the fireplace structure to what we want, most of the windows are in, and some of the exterior doors were installed (I guess it's time to shop for door knobs/handles).

Interior fireplace framed and installed.

ALMOST all the windows are in.

A house wrapped in time for Christmas.

Scrap wood is sorted and neatly stacked and the garage floor is swept and neat.
