Party at the worksite

The construction site was buzzing with activity.  The building crew was working on projects outside so they could keep working without getting in the way of the other teams.  The electrical and HVAC guys were there in force bringing the big push before the weekend so that everything was ready for inspection on Monday.  Guys were climbing around on the roof and in and out of the crawl space.  There were ladders everywhere and guys walking around in the rafters.  Saws, hammers, the sounds of tape measures rolling up, electrical cable being pulled through the studs, and chatter amongst the guys almost drowned out the background sound of an audio book that the electricians were listening to on the large contractor speaker in the driveway.  The scene was exciting but a far cry from the peaceful visit I had last week.

The parking area has never had so many vehicles (four more behind these trucks).

It was interesting to see the specialized tools that the contractors use to make their job run more smoothly.

Flexible ducting and electrical cables are starting to fill the ceiling area.

A little pow-wow of the three lead electricians.

Contractor central with a binder of room-by-room details.

Electrical cables are oozing out of everywhere.

Just a brief moment to remember why we're doing this.

I think this is the air handler for our geothermal system.

Good thing we put in a large garage; this is where all the contractors store their supplies.

Construction site or electric supply store...hard to tell right about now.

I had to leave the construction site for a few hours for an appointment in Billings.  When I returned, there were more trucks on site and the work was still humming along.

Sometimes these mountains look very far away and at other times, like now, they appear to be rolling into our back yard.  I look forward to the time when I can observe this phenomenon hour-by-hour as I go about the tasks of the day rather than in short spurts during random visits.
