Family Mellmann

This morning, after a traditional Chinese breakfast, Peter, Suzanne, Jörg, and I went for a nice walk through the park across from our hotel before heading out to the airport for our five hour flight to Bali.

We have arrived in Hong Kong, enjoyed an evening on the town, and a good night of rest. Today we fly to Bali. This is the entrance of our hotel.

Today was the annual academic bowl at Trinity. Another Christian school joined in for the testing of fourth, fifth, and sixth graders in the subjects of math, science, history, English, and Old and New Testament. After the written tests they have a spelling bee and award ceremony. Patrick took first place for fourth grade English, and second place for science.

I think every store should have a place like this for kids to hang out.

Ahhh. The life of a Fish Mom...is that right? Baseball Mom, Soccer Mom...Fish Mom. Yep, that's me.  It's a far cry from Scuba Mom, but I'll take it.

Patrick puts his hook in the water for the first time this season. Yes, he's wearing a winter coat, and yes, I'm behind the camera wrapped in a double layer fleece blanket in the sun. It's Spring Break and we've tried to do something fun and/or outside (it's been a rainy week) every day. Today, we fish.
