First Day of Spring

Image
We had a "snow day" yesterday.  Schools were cancelled, programs were closed, and the media went wild with doomsday reports about treacherous road conditions and large snow falls. Perhaps, in some areas, things did get a little crazy, and the early morning hours (leading up to the morning commute) surely saw some slippery roads.  But, here in Williston things remained quiet.  After a day of nearly constant snow, I had to drive to Middlebury (an hour south of home) for a meeting.  I was prepared for the worst, but the "worst" part of the drive was the other drivers - not the snow or the roads. This morning, before I could pull out of the driveway, I had to get the snow blower going to get the car out.  The six inches of snow in the driveway aren't much of a problem for my car, but the snow plows dumped a good pile of heavy, wet, and dirty snow at the end of my driveway.  In the process, they managed to bury my garbage cans - but only after moving them into th

It took a little time to get through two weeks' worth of vacation pictures, especially since most of them were under water pictures (I really like under water pictures because they bring back many great memories of our diving experiences).  But I did it.  I even managed to thin the photo selection down to a more manageable number so that you don't get bored to tears. While I was at it, I threw in some pictures of Joerg and Patrick in a board-breaking workshop for Tae Kwon Do.  It's fun to see their faces in these pictures.  It all happens so fast in real time that I never get to see their facial expressions.  Seeing the photos shows me what I missed. I hope you enjoy the update.  Follow me... click here .

Vacation Videos

We have been home for less than a week, but already our vacation seems like a distant memory.  The bags are unpacked, laundry is done, the dive gear has been soaked and now hangs to dry. I have been working my way through two weeks worth of pictures and video and have made some headway.  I have uploaded several videos to You Tube for those who like to see moving pictures.  For the rest of you, I will be working on a website update next.  While you wait, check out some of the creatures we saw.
